Delete Account

We understand that circumstances change, and you may want to delete your JobAssistAI account. Our platform uses a "Soft Delete" system to protect your data while giving you a grace period should you change your mind.

How It Works

1. Scheduling Deletion: When you click the Delete Account button in your settings, your account is immediately scheduled for deletion.
2. Subscriptions: Any active paid subscriptions are set to cancel at the end of the current billing period. You are not charged again after that, while access for the period you already paid for remains available until it ends.
3. The Grace Period: Your account enters a grace period until your subscription period physically ends. If you do not have an active subscription, you enter a standard 30-day grace period.
4. Data Purge: Once the grace period expires (the deletion date), our automated deletion process uses the account-deletion workflow to permanently remove your personal data (resumes, cover letters, interactions) from our systems within 24 hours.

Reactivating Your Account

If your account is in the "pending deletion" state and you wish to recover it before the data is purged, please reach out to support immediately to cancel the scheduled deletion.

Retention Policy Reminder

As part of our commitment to your privacy, we ensure that once the permanent purge takes place, all user data including profile records and tracking data is permanently removed.
