We collect information you provide directly to us when you register for an account, complete your Master Profile, use our AI generation tools, install our browser extension, or communicate with us. This includes:

  • Professional Data: Employment history, educational background, skills, and resume documents you upload.
  • Usage & Device Data: Interactions with our website, application performance metrics, and Chrome Extension usage.
  • Payment Information: Subscription tier and billing history (Note: Full payment details are processed securely by our payment provider, not stored on our servers).

1.1 Chrome Extension Specific Data

To function seamlessly on job boards, our Chrome extension requires specific permissions:

  • Host/Webpage Permissions: To securely read the text of job descriptions on supported websites when you activate the extension.
  • Storage: To save your preferences and keep your sign-in session working properly.

Note: The extension only activates and extracts text when you explicitly interact with it on a job posting.

2. Legal Basis and How We Use Information

Under the UK GDPR, we process your personal data under the following lawful bases:

  • Performance of a Contract: To operate the platform, manage your account, process billing, and provide our core services.

  • Email Communications: Brevo (EU Region).
  • AI Processing: Third-party AI services.

  • De-identified Processing: When AI features process your resume or cover letter, they primarily use professional content rather than direct personal identity details.
  • Restricted Re-identification: Re-linking your professional data to your personal identity is only possible through secure, authorized access controls.

  • The Right to Erasure: Request deletion of your personal data.

6. Data Retention & Account Deletion

When you request to delete your account, we implement a "Soft Delete" system with a grace period:

  • Active paid subscriptions are set to cancel at the end of your current billing cycle.
  • Your account enters a grace period until your subscription physically ends (or 30 days for free accounts).
  • Once this grace period expires, our automated systems permanently purge all your personal and professional data from our systems within 24 hours.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices or legal obligations. We will notify you of any material changes via email or a prominent notice on your dashboard prior to the changes taking effect.
